I was associated with a HD dealership in the mid-nineties. HD delivered some of their units with a wrinkle black paint on the engine, which faded over time. Pig Spit, which is liquid silicone, simply sprayed on the (cool) engine restored original luster and prevented further fading. We carried it regularly and as an owner of a wrinkle black HD, I used and recommended it highly.
I'm not sure to what use you wish to put the product so I hope this helps

Well, if it kept the paint from fading, the anal retentives that are here can pig snot a lot of paint... I can tell you, I was skool'did or scolded for not catching the OEM paint fade. The old Kawi paint faded on the tank, but not so much under the tank or where the seat rides up on the tank.
That chemical sounds interesting, CC, if you field tested is failed as tested. Spitinn my lips clean is welcome and thanks for the informative first post.
